Accessibility Statement

NextWave is committed to ensuring that nextwave.au is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Our approach

  • Semantic HTML structure on all pages for screen reader compatibility
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios across all text and UI elements
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected — all decorative animations are disabled when the user has requested reduced motion in their OS settings
  • Keyboard navigation supported throughout the site
  • All interactive elements have accessible labels and focus indicators
  • Images and icons include meaningful alt text or aria-hidden where decorative
  • Form fields are labelled and error messages are descriptive

Known limitations

We are actively working to improve accessibility. Currently known issues include:

  • Animated canvas background — the interactive grid on the homepage uses a canvas element. The canvas itself is marked aria-hidden and has no functional information. It is disabled for users with prefers-reduced-motion enabled.
  • PDF-generated documents — invoices and quotes generated by our tools are PDF files that may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Contact us for an accessible alternative format.

Third-party content

Some features of our site use third-party services (Stripe payment pages, AI chatbot interfaces). We select providers who take accessibility seriously, but we cannot guarantee their accessibility and direct you to their own accessibility statements for details.

Testing

This site is tested using keyboard navigation, browser-based accessibility audit tools (Lighthouse, axe), and manual review. We test against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria.

Enforcement
