LedgerOS Terms & Conditions

By using LedgerOS, you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Service

LedgerOS is a record-management and BAS-preparation tool provided by NextWave. It is NOT a tax agent service and does NOT provide tax, accounting, or financial advice.

⚠️ Important: Always review figures with a registered tax agent before lodging with the ATO. LedgerOS is for preparation and record management only.

2. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter into LedgerOS.
• You must keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
• You agree not to misuse the service or attempt to breach its security.

3. Pricing & Subscriptions

Free Tier — Important Limitations

⚠️ Device-Only Storage: Your receipts are stored on this phone only. There is NO cloud backup.

• If you switch phones or reinstall the app, your data will be permanently lost.
• To protect your data, upgrade to Pro for cloud backup and multi-device access.

Pro Tier Benefits

Cloud Backup: Your receipts are securely backed up to the cloud. You can access them across multiple devices and never lose data.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel.
• You can manage or cancel anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• The 7-day Pro trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• All prices are in AUD and include GST where applicable.

5. Your Data & Ownership

• You own your data. All receipts and records you enter belong to you.
• We process your data only to provide the service (see our Privacy Policy).
• Free tier: Data stays on your device only (no cloud backup).
• Pro tier: Data is backed up to secure cloud storage encrypted in transit and at rest.

6. What Happens When You Cancel or Leave

• Cancellation: Your account reverts to Free; Pro features stop and cloud backup ends.
• On-device data: Remains on your phone until you uninstall the app.
• Cloud data: Kept read-only for 90 days so you can export or resubscribe, then may be deleted.
• Export anytime: You can export your data as CSV/PDF at any time.
• Account deletion: You may request deletion in-app (Settings → Delete account) or via this page. We delete your account and associated data within 30 days, except where legally required to retain records.

7. Refunds

Purchases are handled by Google Play and subject to Google's refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the service or attempt to breach its security.
• Use LedgerOS unlawfully or for illegal purposes.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.

9. Service Availability

LedgerOS is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. This does not exclude Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the amount you paid in the prior 12 months. Australian Consumer Law rights are not excluded.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia (Victoria). Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
